This year we once again made a random selection from charities handpicked by each of our staff, and this time round it was Paul Cutter’s that was chosen. So, we are delighted to announce that for the financial year ended 31st March 2020, Cutter & Co will be supporting The Heart of England Forest. As a firm, we are very much looking forward to getting involved with this unique and ever-growing charity.
The Heart of England Forest was founded by Felix Dennis, who planted the first 7200 trees in 1996. His initiatives led to the birth of the charity as we know it today in 2003, which has since expanded to over 3,000 acres. Dennis had a vision of restoring trees within local landscapes, therefore creating habitats to help the survival of our wildlife and areas of space for the wider public to enjoy. This fantastic charity is creating a space for us that will be preserved for years to come, with an aim of planting over 30,000 acres of forest. This woodland also serves an educational purpose, offering visits for schools and local organisations, to educate future generations on the nature that surrounds them and encourage a greener future for our country.
One of our first initiatives to assist the charity will be through our invoicing. For every individual or organisation that pays within a 15-day term during the coming weeks, we will donate the money required to plant one tree. We will provide each of you with a certificate as a thank you from both us and the charity, as you will have enabled the plantation of a new tree. Please help us to help this brilliant charity expand their woodland area and do your bit for the environment.
